RV Insurance
RV Insurance provides coverage tailored to most recreational vehicles, including motor homes, fifth-wheel trailers, Airstream travel trailers, mounted truck campers, and more.
This specialized coverage addresses the unique needs of RV owners, such as protection for personal belongings inside the vehicle.
Recreational Vehicle Insurance Coverages
RV insurance typically offers six key types of coverage. Some may be legally required, while others are optional. These include:
- Bodily Injury Liability – Covers injuries the policyholder causes to others.
- Medical Payments or Personal Injury Protection (PIP) – Pays for medical treatment for the driver and passengers in the policyholder’s RV.
- Property Damage Liability – Covers damage the policyholder causes to another person’s property.
- Collision – Covers damage to the policyholder’s RV from a collision with another vehicle.
- Comprehensive – Covers non-collision-related damage (e.g., fire, theft, floods, explosions, or riots).
- Uninsured Motorists Coverage – Covers costs if the policyholder is in an accident with a driver who has no insurance or flees the scene.
- Contents Coverage – This optional coverage protects the contents inside the RV, such as personal items or equipment. It typically has a set payout limit for claims.
